  1. Thank you for commenting on my blog and linking to resources. Trauma is absolutely related in every way to what I am dealing with and I appreciate the link you shared. I have so much to learn, but I am incredibly grateful to have access to this info even if it has taken so long to be on the right path. I don’t know if you are overseas right now or no,t but I wish you all the best in your journey. DH grew up as a missionary kid and his parents are still overseas to this day, my grandfather is also overseas and we have both spent time in quite a few third world countries. Cheering you on! Over the past year or so, I have found that God has actually led me away from long-term missions. It just seemed like doors were not opening and things were not coming together. After much prayer, seeking the counsel of others and some difficulty, I came to the decision that this road was not open for me at this point.

So, I embarked on a grand new adventure – adoption as a single parent, which is what led me to your blog. On this front, it seems like God has flung the doors wide open and things are moving more quickly than I expected! I’m so excited to see what the days ahead bring.

Please know I am praying with you and your family and I trust that God will work all this out for the good of you who love Him to ultimately bring glory unto Himself. Blessings and peace in the hard days, Carrie
